hello & happy Saturday! I've decided to start a new series on my blog titled Steffi Styles, where I choose a trend or article of clothing & show you guys how I style it! For today's post I'm styling this trendy patterned jacket from Forever 21.
When I style a patterned jacket, I often pair it with solid-colored items to make the jacket pop. For this look I chose to wear all black (shoes, jeans, and top). It's also important to not forget about accessories! While a jacket like this definitely makes a statement, it is still crucial to finish off the look with some jewelry, fun heels, or a cute handbag. I paired my coat with gold layered necklaces, small gold-rimmed sunnies, and my go-to boots (NastyGal black platform heels).
I hope you guys enjoyed this post & found it helpful! If there are any other trends or articles of clothing you want me to style comment suggestions on this post or shoot me a DM on Instagram!
Exciting news!! I just uploaded a YOUTUBE video showing you guys 4 different ways you can style mom jeans. I've wanted to post a YouTube video for quite some time and I finally filmed and edited this one over spring break. I'll link it down below, so if you want to see extra content not found on my blog be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel :)
*I've just started my spring quarter of college and I've decided to dedicate more time to creating & posting content on my blog (and YouTube), so keep an eye out for fashion-related blog posts every Saturday for the next few months!*
A few weeks ago I went to Travis Scott's concert with my friend (& little in my sorority) Mari. The show was absolutely INCREDIBLE and it was amazing to be able to stand front row and watch Travis Scott perform live! I obviously didn't want to go to such a fun concert wearing a boring outfit, so here is the look I wore to Astroworld:

☆oversized t-shirt: Ali & Ariel
☆shoes: Michael Kors
☆hairstyle: 4 small dutch braids with the rest of my hair down
I hope you enjoyed this blog post & keep an eye out for a new one next week!
I used to think that there was nothing more embarrassing than being singled out as an "outfit repeater"...
... but now I've come to appreciate having a "go-to" outfit which I love to re-wear. There are so many benefits to having a favorite clothing combo which can be worn time and time again. Here are a few reasons as to why having a go-to outfit is actually a good thing.
reason no. 1: it saves time
There have definitely been days when I'm running late and have 30 seconds to decide what I'm going to wear. Having a favorite outfit really saves me in instances like this- it lets me leave the house looking stylish and saves me time I would have wasted trying on different outfits.
reason no. 2: you feel confident wearing it
It's your favorite outfit for a reason- it makes you feel confident, sexy, pretty, basically any positive adjective you can think of. There's nothing wrong with re-wearing something if it makes you feel like your best self. Having a go-to outfit also comes in handy when you're going to the first day of class, a first date, etc. and need that extra boost of confidence.
REASON No. 3: you can save $
If you're a shopaholic, this may not be entirely true for you, but re-wearing an outfit means you don't have to constantly go out and buy new clothes. Having those few basic pieces that you like to wear can cut down on your clothing purchases since you're content with your wardrobe.
REASON no. 4: it embodies your personal style
Basically all celebrities have a signature look- whether it's Kate Middleton with her nude L.K.Bennett heels or Kris Jenner with her giant black sunglasses. A go-to outfit is a single look that embodies your entire sense of style and taste. It's very cool to be able to show the world your sense of style in just one outfit, which in my opinion makes owning a go-to outfit something special instead of something to be embarrassed about.
The start of a new calendar year marks the time when people write down their resolutions, plan out goals, and create vision boards for the new year. While I do make typical goals such as "work out more" or "eat healthy" just like all the other 7.53 billion people in the world, I also like to design a fashion vision board for the year that lies ahead.
While looks and what you wear aren't everything, I believe there's no better way to kick off a new year than with a good outfit! A lot of my confidence lies in my ability to express myself through fashion, so I've decided to share my 2019 fashion vision board with all of you to hopefully spark your interest and give you some style inspiration for the new year.
Life is too short to waste time wearing subpar outfits, so I encourage each and every one of you to design your own style inspo board for 2019!
Okay guys! So I've been testing out the patterned pants trend and it is LIFE CHANGING! Printed pants make any outfit look stylish and unique, plus it's great because all you need to do is pair them with a solid colored top & basic shoes and you've got yourself a killer outfit. I've been obsessed with this particular pair of checkered pants from Pretty Little Thing recently. Keep scrolling if ya want to see how I've styled them!

I've lived in Michigan for 19 years and Chicago for a tad over 1 year, so I know a thing or two about dressing for fall weather. Today I'm sharing with you 5 essential pieces you need to incorporate into your wardrobe this fall!
NO. 1: a trendy coat
When the weather starts getting colder, a jacket is a must. Since your jacket covers whatever outfit you're wearing, you'll want to make sure you have a trendy, stylish coat on. Some popular styles right now are teddy coats, plaid or houndstooth long blazers, or any jacket that's cheetah print!
NO. 2: WARM SOCKS
When I say warm socks, I don't mean those fuzzy neon socks everyone wore in middle school; I'm talking about thick wool socks in muted/neutral colors that you can slip on with a pair of booties in order to have a stylish yet warm look.
No. 3: a maroon purse
The color maroon screams fall, so one piece I'm looking to add to my closet this fall is a maroon purse. Technically I don't own one yet, but it's definitely on my list of things to buy! Here are some pics of purses to give you guys some inspiration when it comes to this fall trend!
NO. 4: patterned pants
A big trend right now is straight legged pants with a fun pattern on them. This pattern could be anything from gingham to cheetah to camo. Another fun way to wear this trend is to get printed pants with a cropped ankle to add an extra stylish detail to your look.
No. 5: sweatshirts
My final fall wardrobe staple is a good sweatshirt. The key is to wear a sweatshirt that's either a trendy color, pattern, or brand. Pairing your sweatshirt with the right accessories, like layered necklaces or a cute purse, will turn a bland sweatshirt into a trendy look.
So it's Wednesday and you've been wearing that same sweatshirt since Monday- some might say you're in a style slump. Don't be embarrassed, we've all been there! I myself have fallen victim to a style slump as recently as two weeks ago. We all go through it, but if you're ready to get excited about fashion again and fall back in love with expressing yourself through your outfits then keep reading!
Here are my 5 tips for getting out of a fashion slump:
TIP No. 1: GO ON pinterest
The first thing I do once I realize I'm in a style slump is go onto Pinterest and look at my fashion boards to get myself re-inspired and excited to dress up again.
tip no. 2: have a fashion show
Now I don't mean have a full on fashion show with a catwalk, paparazzi, and celebrity guests. I mean turn on some good music, raid your wardrobe, and dance around your room in some of your favorite looks. Nothing hypes me up like listening to music while trying on my most fashionable outfits, so my second tip is to throw a mini "fashion show" in your bedroom.
TIP No. 3: do it for the gram
When all else fails, dress up cute so you can take nice photos for your Insta! When I have photoshoots with my friends, it motivates me to wear an outfit that represents me and my style since I'll likely be posting the pictures we take on social media.
TIP No. 4: SURROUND YOURSELF WITH INSPiration
I surround myself with style inspo by having a clothing rack in my room. It lets me display my favorite pieces, and also doubles as a rack where I can hang outfits for the week if I'm short on time and want to plan my outfits in advance.
Another way I surround myself with inspiration is by hanging two fashion collage/vision boards above my bed. If you want to learn how to make your own fashion vision board then click the button below to see my tutorial!
TIP NO. 5: GO SHOPPING
Now I'm not advising that you go out and buy a whole new wardrobe, but sometimes buying one or two staple pieces can kickstart your passion for styling. I recommend finding a unique jacket, pair of boots, or purse to amp up your wardrobe and get you excited about what you wear again.
Next time you're in a style slump, test out these 5 tips and you'll be back to being your fashionable self in no time!
