When I first got my debit card and moved to the city, I was low-key afraid that I was going to turn into that red headed chick from Confessions of a Shopaholic. I love to buy clothes, and I knew that living somewhere with 100's of stores could prove to be a financial problem for me. Luckily I've learned a few tricks to avoid becoming a shopaholic that I am happy to share with you guys! TIP #1: ONLY CARRY CASHYou can't spend what you don't have. Only carrying $40 while shopping forces you to only buy the pieces that truly stand out to you. Also, handing over physical money seems much more real and apparent that you're spending money than simply swiping a credit card. TIP #2: DON'T BUY SOMETHING SIMPLY BECAUSE IT'S ON SALEThis is how companies get you. Just because something is cheap doesn't mean you should spend your money on it. If you see a sign saying "70% off all pantsuits," do you really need a pantsuit? No. Unless you're Kris Jenner or Hillary Clinton, then it's fine. TIP #3: MAKE A SHOPPING LISTGoing into huge department stores can be overwhelming, so create a game plan before you embark on your shopping journey. TIP #4: SHOP WITH A FRIEND*IMPORTANT: be sure to pick a friend who is not a fellow shopaholic* It is always helpful to have a friend by your side to make sure you're not impulse buying. Plus, it's always awkward to be that one friend who buys $1000000 worth of sweaters on a girls' shopping day while everyone else just buys a pair of $2 Forever 21 socks. TIP #5: SLEEP ON ITIf you find a nice (but kinda pricy) item online, don't buy it right away. Take a day or so to think it over and make sure you're not just purchasing the item on a whim. Consider the pros and cons of the purchase, sleep on it, and see if you still feel as passionate about this item the next day. Hopefully these tips helped you guys! Stay tuned for next week's post :)
happy Saturday! ~Steffi

2/10/2018 0 Comments FEBRUARY #00TD 2018Today I'm sharing a simple #ootd with you guys. I tired to incorporate a lot of red into this look since Valentine's Day is just around the corner. This outfit is one of my current favorites since it is so versatile. You can wear this outfit to class, a date, or even just while running errands. Take off the jacket and add red heels to create the perfect party look. Zip up the coat and add some snow boots and you can easily take on the bitter cold. Whichever way you wear it, it's a stylish and practical outfit! BUY THIS OUTFIT:coat- vintage

I thought it would be fun to create a blog post on how to copy a specific celebrity's style. For this post I chose to create outfits inspired by Elsa Hosk (the model). I love how she creates looks that are very chic yet still wearable. Keep scrolling to see the 3 outfits of hers that I chose to recreate for you guys! **I hope you guys enjoy this post, and if you want to see me recreate a different celebrity's look in the future then leave a comment on this post telling me which celebrity you want to see next! LOOK #1: PARIS CHICFor this look all you really need is a lace-up body suit, black jeans, & a barrette. You can also add a cute pair of sunglasses if the weather is nice. Obviously I couldn't recreate these pictures in front of the Eiffel Tower (sadly), but wearing this look gives off major Parisian vibes just the same. LOOK #2: LAYERED LOOK W/ GUCCI SWEATSHIRTFor Look #2 I didn't have a Gucci sweatshirt, but I think this outfit looks just fine with a cropped graphic tee on top instead. Once again add some black jeans and pair with a long sleeve red shirt and you're good to go! LOOK #3: Statement Jacket & JeansThis outfit was by far the easiest for me to replicate. I just wore a faux fur camo jacket I bought for $15 from A'Gaci and my black jeans again (literally go buy a pair of these jeans from Nordstrom- they fit so well and I honestly wear them at least 4 days out of the week!). I think that this outfit could look cute with a pair of Tims, but I don't own any so I stuck with my trusty Tommy Hilfiger sneakers to finish off this look. stay tuned for a new post coming next week!
