☆FALL FASHION VISION BOARD

Hello & happy Saturday! With the beginning of school just around the corner, there is no better time to create a fall fashion vision board. This fall I'm looking forward to trying out the following trends: blazers, patterned pants, oversized crewnecks, circular sunglasses, lots of layering, and perhaps my favorite trend atm- bucket hats!

TIPS FOR CREATING YOUR OWN FASHION VISION BOARD

1. remember that you're looking for outfit inspo for cooler weather- focus on outfits which layer clothing, include jackets or jeans, and contain muted hues like camel, navy, white, or black.

2. get inspired by your favorite celebs- I personally looked through my favorite bloggers' Instagram accounts to find outfits I could recreate for fall.

3. find photos which match your aesthetic- while back to school shopping is very fun, buying an entirely new wardrobe will break the bank. A better solution is to create a vision board containing a few pieces you already own (for example, I own a white bucket hat already, so I just need to buy an oversized white crewneck to complete one of the looks on my vision board).

outfit no. 1

This outfit was definitely out of the ordinary for me. I think I bought this set to make up for all the years I went to Lolla looking "basic." What's nice about sets like these is how easy they are to style. Since the main part of your outfit (the top and pants) automatically matches, you just need to worry about shoes and accessories. I decided to contrast this loud pink cheetah pattern with white accessories- white purse, white shoes, pear hair clips, & clear sunglasses.

OUTFIT NO. 2

I originally only planned to go to one day of Lolla, so looks 2 and 3 were last minute 'fits I whipped together by raiding my closet. For Saturday's look I wanted something that looked more "high end" and less "rave," so I went with this ensemble. All accessories were gold- from my belt and necklace to the gold clasps on my boots. There was an unfortunate fashion moment when my gold Cartier knock-off bracelet fell into a Port-a-Potty toilet (rip), but even without a bracelet this outfit still screams "stylish."

OUTFIT NO. 3

The final day of the festival was met with a major wardrobe malfunction- the zipper on the jumpsuit I planned on wearing broke. Running 20 minutes behind schedule, I threw on this simple, feminine look. It was my only Lolla look that was versatile enough for me to wear walking down the street and not have people glare at me/whisper about my outfit. A crop top, cute skirt, and chunky sneakers is my fool proof, go-to styling choice!

STEFFI STYLES: BUCKET HATS

hello and happy Saturday! In this latest installment of Steffi Styles, I'm showing you how I style a bucket hat. I created two different looks- a casual 'fit and a fancy 'fit. LOOK NO. 1: COOL GIRL CASUAL

One of my favorite ways to style a bucket hat is to simply throw on an oversized t-shirt. Who says fashion can't be comfortable? For this look I'm wearing a shirt from designer Virgil Abloh's pop-up exhibit at MCA in Chicago. It gives off major street style vibes, so my tip to you is to pair a bucket hat with a band tee, edgy shirt, or anything oversized! Lastly, adding some jewelry brings in a feminine touch which really ties the whole outfit together!

LOOK NO. 2: LBD LOOK

Look number two is definitely fancier than the first outfit. Fashion is all about experimentation, so mixing casual pieces with dressy pieces is always a move. Since a little black dress is a timeless look, I paired my LBD with my bucket hat. Color coordination is also something to consider when creating an outfit, so naturally I made sure my hat and shoes matched (both white).
